Olive oil and wine have been companions in the fields and on the table for centuries. With Maurizio Castelli's experienced guidance, we planted vines on the ranch in 2006 in pursuit of a wine that would complement our world-class extra virgin olive oil. We now have five separate vineyards on over seven acres of land, managed by Samantha Dorsey; the nine Mediterranean grape varietals planted are Pinot noir, Syrah, Montepulciano, Grenache, Viognier, Mourvedre, Alicante Bouschet, Refosco and Barbera. Close spacing, coupled with a low fruiting wire, will keep the vines small, concentrating the vines' resources on good fruit production. You can read more about the seasonal care of our vines here.

OUR WINE

With Head Gardener Margaret Koski-Kent (and her discerning palate) at the helm, our wine-making team is hard at work on the path from vine to bottle.
