3rd Annual California Extra Virgin Olive Oil Festival

This Saturday, June 2nd, we'll be at the Pasta Shop on Fourth Street in Berkeley for the 3rd Annual California Extra Virgin Olive Oil Festival. From noon until 3pm, come and enjoy tastings, food pairings, panel discussions and cooking demos featuring extra virgin olive oils from California's best producers. Highlights include:
  • Olive Oil in Your Kitchen - explore the full spectrum of oils from a mild Arbequina to a pungent, Tuscan-style blend
  • Ahead of the Curve: Olive Oil, California and the World - a panel discussion including producers, experts and chefs covering issues surrounding production; explore recent findings by UC Davis regarding adulterated extra virgin olive oil in the American marketplace
  • Cooking Demo - learn how to saute, poach, confit and even deep-fry with extra virgin olive oils
  • Delicious olive oil desserts including Extra Virgin Olive Oil Challah, Orange Olive Oil Cake and an Extra Virgin Olive Oil/Ice Cream Bar!
