Best o' Festa

scene21Here are some highlights from Sunday's inaugural Festa di Primavera at the Ferry Building. It was team effort from start to finish and judging by the jovial crowd, festivalgoers had a fantastic time. We worked with Elyn from Scentiments (just down the Embarcadero at Pier 3) to provide flowers for the event. In keeping with the theme, we sent her buckets of our Tuscan Blue rosemary, Bay Laurel and Meyer lemonsand her arrangements made every table shine. fromagefestatapenadeAnd for snacks, we served a duo of McEvoy crostini. Mark sent us a big, delicious bucket of McEvoy tapenade, which we smeared over toasted herb focaccia from Acme before garnishing with the most perfect, curly green micro kale leaves you've ever seen. Along with the tiny kale, Margaret shared fresh calendula and mustard flowers from our McEvoy gardens, which we sprinkled over fromage blanc for the second crostini. We heard our duo was one of the most delicious bites to be found, and for those of you who couldn't join us on Sunday, we'll be serving our festa treats again tomorrow in our Ferry Building shop around noon for "Tasty Tuesday!"
