Good times with Joanne Weir

booksCookbooks were signed, crostini were devoured and our Joanne Weir event was a smashing success!jw-best We had a full house brimming with Weir's longtime friends and fans, including one enthusiastic couple who rushed in toward the very end of the night, hoping they didn't miss her, with a stack full of their favorite cookbooks from home. Clearly, we were in the presence of greatness.keith Keith worked the bar for us pouring a sparkling durello, a Chilean sauvignon blanc and a fruit-forward barbera from Lodi to pair with some definitive crowd-pleasers from the cookbook, prepared by our chefs from the Ranch, Mark Rohrmeier and Gerald Gass. Platters of sausage crostini were snapped up in seconds and even Joanne Weir was "oohing and ahhing" over the velvety texture of her own pineapple sorbet. (You know it's good when....) Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating Wine Country Cooking, and for those of you who couldn't make it, you can still pick up a copy at our Ferry Building shop. And, who knows, she may be back down for another signing session sometime soon...so stay tuned! For more photos from the event, visit our facebook page!
