Last night we joined celebrity chef Tyler Florence and his wife, Tolan, for an unforgettable evening at their beautiful kitchen and gourmet food shop in Mill Valley. If you haven't checked this place out yet, stick it on your list! It's a warm and friendly space, thoughtfully furnished and decorated so well, you almost forget they're in the retail business. It just feels like home.
Tyler wowed all the guests with his velvety cauliflower soup, topped with creamy, orange sea urchin, a briny caper-raisin relish and a drizzle of his favorite oil;) The recipe is in his cookbook, Tyler's Ultimate, and, or course, it was sold out. Wonder why?!?
Meanwhile, we shared samples of our estate products and Mark sent down a special blend of our cured olives, featuring fruit we don't generally use in our oil: Picholine, Mission, Nocellara del Belice, Arbequina, Ogliarola, Cayon and Koroneiki.
The other star of the night was our 80 Acres body care line. This is Jane and Christina's baby and since its launch last fall, people are craving that fresh, green "Verde" scent almost as much as our oil. We knew Tolan loved it, but after learning that Tyler uses our hand and body wash, too, we're were especially proud.
