At a festival where you can recharge your cell phone on solar panels and cash in your recycling for band merchandise, you can bet that the folks behind Outside Lands put some thought into the food.
After all, with so many great restaurants and local farmers in the Bay Area, there's really no excuse for soggy garlic fries and dirty water dogs.
Instead you'll find a "Taste of the Bay Area" full of local festival fare including burritos from Mission taquerias, oysters from Hog Island and even a farmer's market full of heirloom tomatoes and stone fruits to fill out your picnic spread.
But for the snack of all snacks, be sure to stop by the vegetarian tent where we'll set you up with the essentials: Mt. Tam from Cowgirl Creamery, a twinkle baguette from Acme and a 60ml bottle of McEvoy Ranch olive oil!
We're also teaming up with Marin Organics and selling a simple green salad with Point Reyes Blue (served with a recycled paper napkin, on a compostable plate, with a fork made of corn, of course).
