This weekend is the Ferry Building's 7th annual Harvest Festival!
The celebration will feature a variety of free events, live music and the beloved Barnyard by the Bay petting zoo, along with special menu items and seasonal tastings from Ferry Plaza merchants.
Friday, October 23rd: The festival kicks off with an Organic Beer & Wine tasting from 4pm-8pm benefiting California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF), one of the largest and oldest organic certifiers in the country. Merchants will stay open later on Friday offering seasonal sweets and treats, such as McEvoy Olive Oil ice cream from Humphry Slocombe! Tickets can be purchased at the door: $25 for 10 tastes.
Saturday, October 24th: In addition to the autumnal abundance of the Saturday farmers' market, the Harvest Festival is hosting a cornucopia of free demonstrations, including apple cider pressing, heirloom apple tasting, wool spinning and butter making.
Make sure to visit us inside because we're bringing down a special guest from the ranch! From 10am until 2pm, our Nursery Manager, Samantha Dorsey, will be in the shop to answer all of your questions about growing and caring for olive trees. This is a wonderful opportunity to tap the source, so don't miss it!
Sunday, October 25th: The festival will conclude with more family fun, including face painting, Barnyard by the Bay and live gypsy jazz music.
