San Francisco's own Fran Gage - food writer, baker and olive oil aficionado - recently published the food world's first cookbook celebrating America's artisanal olive oil production. The tome features profiles of producers (gee, I wonder if McEvoy is in there anywhere...) and 75 recipes to savor. You can find The New American Olive Oil online and at brick and mortar booksellers everywhere, of course; better yet, come and get it from Fran Gage herself! The Pasta Shop in Berkeley is happily hosting a book signing and tasting in honor of the book on March 27th. You'll get to taste oil from various producers, learn from professional palates and nibble on bites by the Pasta Shop Kitchen.
We'll be there with bells on, pouring tastes of our 2009 Traditional Blend and answering any questions you might have. The Pasta Shop is recommending you reserve your spot online at www.rockridgemarkethall.com - don't miss it.
Friday, March 27th from 5:30-7pm
