Olio Nuovo is here!

In his recent San Francisco Magazine article, "Essential Oil," Daniel Patterson says it best:
New olive oil is one of the great joys of fall, as fleeting and intense as the fading sunlight....(it) should be used quickly after being opened, and with abandon.
We celebrated our annual olive harvest last weekend and after a whirlwind of bottling and the Thanksgiving holiday, I'm happy to announce that our darling new oil, "Olio Nuovo," is now available both online and in our Ferry Building retail shop. Like always, our freshly milled oil is bottled immediately, without filtration, and the resulting oils is cloudy, complex and intensely green. Olio Nuovois only available for a few months each year, and just as Patterson advises, it should be savored immediately. Try it over the bean stew in Patterson's article, over soft-poached eggs like the Tablehopper or in any of the seasonal recipe ideas we've included in our oil boxes. Or experiment over the holidays with friends and family, but make sure to share any great new olio nuovo ideas with us:) Cheers to another great harvest!
