Olive Leaf Tea

augustolivesMove over kombucha, we've got another healthy elixir in the works: McEvoy Ranch Olive Leaf Tea! Olive leaf was used medicinally in ancient Mediterranean cultures, and it's commonly used today in alternative healing because of its antiviral and antioxidant properties. Like extra virgin olive oil, olive leaf has been shown to lower blood pressure and reduce bad cholesterol (LDL), so it's another smart dietary addition for a healthy heart.tealeaves We'll be selling our dried leaves for home brewing, but it seems worthwhile to mention that fresh olive leaf extract has an antioxidant capacity almost double that of green tea extract and 400% higher than vitamin C. We've been drying the leaves of our Maurino olive trees for several weeks in the hopes of releasing and sipping on our tea this fall. Stay tuned....
