Tickets are on sale now for Outstanding in the Field's 2010 tour.
Essentially a traveling supper club, the folks at OIF organize large-scale, farm-to-table feasts at various farms, ranches and gardens across the United States. They even have a European tour lined up later this year.
Based on local eating, the premise of OIF is to connect guests to the source of their food, wherever they and their big red bus happen to be.
At each stop, OIF arranges a local guest chef to oversee a menu highlighting foods grown at or near the host ranch and guests indulge in a family-style supper at a long, skinny table out in the field.
May 9th we'll be hosting our third dinner with Outstanding in the Field and we're thrilled to announce that Chef Dominique Crenn will be behind the stoves.
Chef Crenn was a recent participant on the Food Network's "Next Iron Chef" and she's the executive chef of Luce Wine Restaurant in San Francisco.
