Inventory Logistics Supervisor

Join McEvoy Ranch as our full time Inventory Logistics Supervisor in our Ukiah facility. McEvoy produces the ODE body care line at our Ukiah location where we make small batch production, and organic ingredients are used whenever possible. Our entire body care line is free of sulfates, parabens and is never tested on animals – and our packaging is recyclable and BPA free. Our Ukiah location is also our ecommerce shipping hub.

We are looking for an Inventory Logistics Supervisor who can be as passionate about our products as we are, and to join our wonderful inventory and shipping team. Reporting to our Director of Manufacturing, the Inventory Logistics Supervisor will directly supervise and coordinate all the activities of our inventory and shipping staff in the Ukiah manufacturing facility. The position will require weekly travel to our Ranch in Petaluma, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Create logistics strategies that increase efficiency and speed
  • Assist in securing warehouse contents against loss
  • Arrange for, and process appropriate paperwork, for movement of product and components between warehouses
  • Assist in receiving shipments from vendors verifying correct part numbers, quantities and assessing any damage
  • Assist in the maintenance of stock bins by assuring proper sizing, labeling and condition
  • Compare physical inventory to figures from sales orders and production records to obtain current inventory
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Track scrap product
  • Prepare various reports such as inventory balances and surplus
  • Participate in annual physical inventories
  • Effective communication with departments, retail stores/eCommerce, and managers regarding counts; responds to questions with customers, vendors and co-workers
  • Negotiations with external logistics vendors
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Supervise team members with work assignments, training and performance management
  • Support and enforce all company policies promoting efficient, productive and consistent processes and procedures.

Skills and Abilities:

  • High level of skill with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Experience in navigating software platforms for inventory and production management; in particular QuickBooks and Fishbowl
  • Professional presentation and demeanor; effective communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills to synthesize significant amounts of raw data and compile with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Management of processes in a heavy sku environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion with business information
  • Commitment to customer service attitude toward vendors, customers and co-workers
  • Efficient planning for task management; ability to work with little supervisor.
  • Forklift operator certification (training provided on site if needed)
  • Team leader and management skills

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma; bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Five years of experience in inventory control and logistics
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit for long periods, frequent use of wrists, hands and fingers
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and push & pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, squat, kneel, bend, reach out & above shoulder, stand & walking between buildings occasionally
  • Frequent use of the senses of vision, hearing, smell, and touch
  • Works around Hazardous materials and Equipment, using personal protective equipment
  • Works frequently in varied temperatures
  • Works in an office environment, manufacturing and warehouse environments
  • Occasional Travel

If you have one to two years of experience providing exceptional customer service in retail, preferably in food, wine or beauty, and love to sell, you will be an excellent addition to our team.

  • Occasionally must be able to squat or kneel
  • Ability to stand for shifts of up to 8 hours
  • May occasionally lift or push up to 25lbs.
