I love this limited edition of the Skink Bowl. I have a set of 6 now, and the blue is perfect for our dining table, no matter what season it is. The skink bowl in this house loves to covet our favorite herbs and McEvoy Olive Oil in which we use to dip our sourdough bread. Don't get me wrong, the skink bowl at McEvoy has many uses; this is just our favorite.
No matter what I put in this beautiful skink bowl, I am immediately transported to those sweet days I spend in the sun. They look so beautiful on the table or picnic spread, and though they hold a good amount of your appetizer or condiment, before you know it, like the skink, I am slithering out in search of more. The skink bowl is not only beautiful it is convenient too. Sometimes I put olives in it, chopped jalapenos, diced green onions, sometimes a bit of tamponade or spiced olive oil (from McEvoy) dip, but mostly I use them for that tasty sample of whatever I am cooking. They hold the chef's sample that only the chef is privy to...more please, but, of course, that's when we get the big boys out.
I love these little Skink bowls. I have four of them now and we use them almost every day. We use them for many different things but mainly for every one to use as there own person dipping bowl. They are perfect to serve salsa in for those chip dipping days. My personal favorite way to use these Skink bowls is to fill them half way up with McEvoy Jalapeno EVOO, add minced garlic and sprinkle with random herbs of your choice, then we dip our fresh sourdough bread into the mix and arrive at the gates of heaven. OMG It is sooooo good. Thank you.
