Bottled under screwcap for the first time to best capture the wine’s delicate aromatics and freshness, the 2016 vintage is a blend of Syrah (68%) and Pinot Noir (32%) from cool vineyard sites in Carneros and the Sonoma Coast. The Prupas Vineyard in Napa's Carneros provides its lovely floral aromatics, while the Amaral Vineyard on the Sonoma side of Carneros brings its outstanding freshness and acidity, and the Fedrick Vineyard along the Sonoma Coast enhances its surprisingly complex fruit flavors.
We picked the grapes relatively early and whole-cluster pressed. After fermentation, the wine was briefly aged in neutral barrels before returning to tank. The citrus and floral aromatics are inviting with fruit flavors of Alpine strawberries, peach, pink grapefruit, and honeydew melon. We absolutely love the fresh acidity and minerality in this refreshing wine.
Always versatile, our dry Rosebud Rosé is well suited to a plate of oysters, seafood, roasted poultry, creamy cheeses, and spicy dishes. It’s the quintessential warm weather sipper! 1150 cases
