Our Evening Standard has delicate aromatics, good mouthfeel, and fine tannins. Concentrated aromas begin with golden raspberry, rose petal, red currant, rosemary, and dried flowers in a potpourri mix. The palate is bright and juicy with a healthy dose of acid that we find absolutely refreshing. Flavors of fresh strawberries, Princess Anne cherries, black pepper, blood orange, pomegranate, and a touch of roasted Portobello mushroom permeate this Pinot Noir. Coming through to the finish, we discover a creamy vanilla sensation from barrel aging that works perfectly with this balanced wine.
The wine was aged for 15 months without racking in a combination of neutral 225L barrels and 500L oak puncheons and bottled in January 2018.
