2018 Reserve Pinot Noir

The 2018 Reserve Pinot Noir is composed of roughly equal parts Azaya vineyard and McEvoy Ranch, both located in the Petaluma Gap and just a few miles apart. 2018 was kind to both vineyards, with minimal stress and nearly ideal ripening conditions, which allowed for precise picking decisions, not rushed by heat waves or other unfavorable conditions. In the aromas, ripe berries and floral notes dominate; on the palate it is plush and bright, a bit richer than the Evening Standard but similar in style. The 2018 Pinot Noirs are pure and transparent, with fresh acidity and lively fruit. Aged in neutral French Oak cooperage for 10 months.
